Human Arrays |
| LifeSpan's Normal Tissue Screen arrays are intended to provide researchers with
an understanding of their target protein's expression profile across majors
organs of the normal human body. Due to the complexity of most normal tissues,
3.5 mm elements are used to allow analysis of all cell types present. |

Cancer Arrays |
| LifeSpan offers a wide collection of human cancer arrays, from general
screening arrays that contain small numbers of many cancer types, to high
density cancer specific arrays ideal for prevalence studies. Due to the
homogenous nature of most cancers, element sizes range form 1.5 mm to 0.6 mm. |

Metabolic Disease Arrays |
| Non-cancer diseases tend to be diffuse and therefore are not amenable to TMA
applications. However, Diabetes, as one example, has relatively few diffuse
histological features and impacts a larger number of tissue types than most
diseases. LifeSpan's diabetic screen uses large 3.5 mm elements for each tissue
type so that all cell types are represented. |

Arrays |
| LifeSpan's Animal Model Tissue MicroArrays are a valuable research
tool for studying the expression and localization profiles of therapeutic or
diagnostic targets in animal strains commonly used for disease modeling and
toxicological screening. Each array includes 2 specimens from 2 different
individuals for up to 20 tissue types. Each formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded
element is large, 3.5 mm, ensuring that all relevant cell types are present for
analysis. |
