LifeSpan BioSciences Enters into Agreement for Japanese Representation

SEATTLE, WA (August 1^st, 2005) — LifeSpan BioSciences, Inc., a leading proteomics company specializing in molecular pathology, today announced the signing of an agreement with Eolas Biosciences Co. Ltd. for representation in the Japanese market. Eolas Biosciences is a Japan-based business development company specializing in the biotechnology, drug discovery and biomedical areas.

Eolas Biosciences will represent LifeSpan in Japan for sales and marketing of LifeSpan's molecular pathology products to Japanese pharmaceutical and biotech companies. LifeSpan's products include a large-scale human tissue imunohistochemistry (IHC) database containing proprietary expression and localization data on 500 proteins of medical relevance, an IHC contract research service utilizing LifeSpan's 2 million human tissue specimen bank and IHC-validated antibodies. Eolas will also support LifeSpan in its collaborative projects with Japanese companies.
